Genvict Joins C-V2X Cross-industry & Large-scale Pilot Plugfest, Accelerating the Pace of large-scale C-V2X Commercialization



The 2020 C-V2X cross-industry & large-scale pilot plugfest was carried out on October 27-29. Compared with the last year's evevt which demonstrates the interoperability crossing chipsets, terminals, complete vehicles and safety platforms, the new plugfest of intelligent transport system set a higher standard for test participants, added requirements for high-precision map and positioning, and enhanced network security.



Genvict participated the cross-industry pilot plugfest for the third consecutive year. In this year's plugfest, Genvict provides V2X terminal equipment compliant with both Qualcomm and Huawei solutions, and joins hands with nine automobile manufacturers including BAIC, Geely, JEEP, JAC, Changan Automobile, NextEV, Renault, Dongfeng Motor and Citroen to demonstrate the C-V2X interoperability test. Genvict also works with Didi to deploy the V2X roadside equipment in the demonstrated road sections, and the V2X highway traffic management system will continue to offer services after the event. The highlight of the event is that visitors can have a test ride on V2X cars, which is a vivid experience showcasing V2X applications and enhancing the understanding of V2X communication.



As the initiator of The Industrial R&D Center of Key Technologies and Equipment for Intelligent Vehicle-Infrastructure Cooperative System authorized by the Ministry of Transport China, Genvict has long been prepared for V2X strategic layout since 2010, and started the research and development of V2X products in 2013. By now, Genvict has a full portfolio of home-made V2X products in compliance with US standard, European standard, Chinese standard and 5G. The product line covers roadside unit, on-board unit, edge computing, and cloud platform. Previous to the event, Genvict's V2X equipment has passed the C-V2X interoperability and conformance tests conducted by China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT).



The success of 2020 C-V2X Cross-industry & Large-scale Pilot Plugfest validates the maturity of full protocol stack in compliance with China's C-V2X standard, provides a healthy cooperation platform for cross-industrial innovation, and strongly promotes the large-scale C-V2X demonstration and commercialization exploration.

  Ultra-high Radio Frequency Identification (UHF RFID), with frequency band between 860MHz and 960MHz, is contactless and automatic identification technology that identifies and programs target (generally RFID tag attached on the object) without any human intervention. What is Electronic Toll Collection?

  ETC electronic toll collection  is an automatic toll system  applied to expressways, toll bridges and tunnels. Generally, the system collects the toll via wireless communication between in-vehicle transponders and roadside transceivers, and conducts settlement processing with banks via computer network.
